Vikash Kumar

Vikash Kumar is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), actively contributing to the Sadewasser Research Group's mission in advanced energy materials.

He holds a PhD from the University of Verona in Italy, where his doctoral research specialized in chalcogenide-based solar cell technologies, establishing his foundational expertise in photovoltaic systems.

His current research focuses on revolutionizing solar energy conversion through the Hi-BITS European project, targeting >25% efficiency in CIGS devices via novel passivated transparent back contacts. He passionately advocates for chalcogenide solar cells as pivotal to sustainable energy futures, emphasizing their scalability and material advantages over conventional silicon-based systems.
