Vijay Pabbathi

Vijay Pabbathi is a Senior Lecturer in Anatomy and Physiology at Health Sciences University, with nearly three decades of experience in higher education. He holds a BSc in Biology, BVSc & AH in Veterinary Medicine, MSc in Neuro-Molecular Pharmacology, and a PhD in Physiology from the University of Bristol, UK. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

As an educator, Vijay is renowned for innovative teaching methods, including problem-based learning, multimedia resources, and clinical examples. He teaches Gross Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, and Immunology to medical and chiropractic students. His research focuses on Cardiac Physiology, employing electrophysiology and pharmacological techniques, and he mentors undergraduate research projects.

Administratively, Vijay leads module management, curriculum development, exam moderation, and teaching material creation. He serves as Core-Science Lead, advising colleagues on course delivery and assessment aligned with professional guidelines. He emphasizes collaboration, trust, and effective communication in his roles.

Outside academia, Vijay prioritizes wellness through walking, Yoga, Meditation, and Qi Gong, fostering a collegial work environment and strong interpersonal relationships.
