Vieroslav Júda

Assoc. Prof. Vieroslav Júda, PhD., serves as Vice-Dean for Science and Research at the Faculty of Law, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. With nearly three decades of continuous service since October 1995, he has progressed through all administrative ranks from department secretary to acting dean, demonstrating deep institutional commitment.

His educational foundation includes honors graduation from Comenius University's Faculty of Law (1995), followed by dual doctorates: JUDr. (1997) and PhD. (2002). This rigorous academic training underpins his current leadership role.

Prof. Júda's research centers on Constitutional Law and Legal Theory, emphasizing critical analysis of legal frameworks. His 2018-2019 advisory role at the Slovak Constitutional Court directly informs his scholarly focus on constitutional interpretation. He contends that "language lives lawyers," advocating for precise verbal argumentation as the cornerstone of legal practice.

As Vice-Dean, he champions student research through the ŠVOČ competition framework, which recently secured second place in Czech-Slovak rounds. His vision includes creating assistant scientist positions to cultivate future faculty talent, particularly targeting students immersed in campus culture.
