Vida Samuel

Dr. Vida Samuel is an Associate Professor in Residence at the University of Connecticut (Stamford campus). She holds a PhD from Howard University in Intercultural Communication with a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies, an MA from New York University in Speech and Interpersonal Communication, and a BSW from Wheelock College.

Her disciplinary background focuses on Intercultural Communication, Human Sexuality, and Gender Studies. Key research interests include women’s sexuality, sexuality across aging populations, communication dynamics in intimate relationships, and intersectional analysis of gender, race, age, and sexuality.
