About
Victoria Simcock is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Psychology at the University of Sussex. She is currently leading the development of a neurodiversity-affirming measure of parent-child interaction for infants aged 9-months to 4-years-old as part of the START (Supporting Toddlers with a family history of autism/ADHD to develop strong Attention, Regulation and Thinking Skills) project, collaborating with Dr. Alexandra Hendry.
Her research focuses on bidirectional parent-child effects in self-regulation development, mental health interventions for neurodivergent youth, and early identification of ADHD traits. She actively involves neurodivergent families in research design through workshops and observational studies.
Her recent publication (2024) examines the mental health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on children with special educational needs and disabilities. Contact her at victoria.simcock@psy.ox.ac.uk.
