Victoria Hinkley is an Associate Lecturer in Biomedical Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast's School of Health. She joined UniSC in 2022 after four years as a sessional academic. Her teaching focuses on foundational bioscience and human physiology courses including LFS103 Introductory Bioscience and LFS112 Human Physiology.
Her research examines vascular pathophysiology in clinical contexts:
- Vascular changes in pre-eclamptic and hypertensive pregnancies
- Cerebrovascular mechanisms in migraine pathophysiology
- Post-stroke vascular remodeling
- Vascular development in premature infants' brain health
Currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Queensland's Perinatal Research Centre, she investigates vascular changes in preterm infants under mentorship of Professors Paul Colditz and Ian Wright.
