Victoria Cowling

Victoria Cowling is a Professor in Molecular Cell and Developmental Biology. Her research focuses on RNA cap regulation, including mechanisms underlying mRNA capping, viral infection pathways, and gene expression control. She has received a £2.5 million MRC Senior Fellowship for cancer research. Key projects include mRNA Cap Regulation of Gene Expression (2021-2026) and studies on T cell activation mechanisms. Cowling collaborates internationally and has supervised 11 research projects. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and innovation.
