Victoria Bergstrom is an Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Lehigh University. Her academic foundation includes a PhD and MA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA from Columbia University.
Her research examines modern/contemporary French poetry through interdisciplinary lenses including:
- Media theory and technological evolution of imagery
- Film studies and visual culture
- Aesthetic philosophy and art history
- Digital humanities and poetic remediation
Bergstrom's publications analyze how poetry engages with visual technologies—from Early Modern painting to digital media—interrogating concepts of literality, representation, and temporal consciousness in evolving media landscapes.
