Victor Shadurski

Victor Shadurski is a former Dean and Professor of the Faculty of International Relations at Belarusian State University. Following his public opposition to the regime's treatment of university staff and students in March 2021, he resigned and went into exile. He has since held Visiting Fellowships at universities in Germany and Poland and actively participates in The Baltic University Programme.

His research examines the mechanisms of authoritarianism with specific focus on Belarus within SDG16 (Peace & Justice), alongside broader interests in:

• Theory and history of international relations
• Belarusian domestic and foreign policy
• European cultural diplomacy
• Sustainable development frameworks

His 2023 publications analyze political conflicts, regime dynamics, and foreign policy impacts across Eastern Europe, consistently exploring themes of power structures, democratic transitions, and authoritarian resilience in post-Soviet contexts.
