Victor Lozada

Victor Lozada is an Assistant Professor of Bilingual Education in the School of Education at the University of North Texas-Dallas. He serves as Program Coordinator for the EC-12 Languages Other than English Program and focuses on intersections between bilingual education, literacy learning, and music education.

• Active presenter at international/national conferences including National Association for Bilingual Education, La Cosecha Dual Language Conference, National Association for Music Education, American Educational Research Association, and American Orff Schulwerk Association
• Published in journals: Bilingual Research Journal, NABE Journal of Research and Practice, Journal of Language & Literacy Education, Literacy Research and Instruction, Journal of General Music Education
• Contributed chapters on rap music and antiracism in co-edited book Engage and Empower! Expanding the Curriculum for Justice and Activism
• Holds leadership role as Vice President-Elect of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access for the American Orff Schulwerk Association
