Victor Bolanos-Garcia

Dr. Victor Bolanos-Garcia is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Biochemistry at Oxford Brookes University and Principal Investigator leading the Mechanisms of Regulation of Cell Division Group. With a PhD from the University of Cambridge and postdoctoral training at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, his research focuses on structural and biochemical mechanisms governing cell division regulation, particularly in cancer contexts.

Research Interests include:

• Structural biology of mitotic checkpoint proteins (BUB1, BUBR1, Mps1)
• Molecular interactions in DNA damage repair systems
• Development of nanomaterials for cancer therapeutics
• Protein biochemistry for drug target validation

Recent Publications address APC/C inhibitors for breast cancer, graphene-based delivery systems, and Mps1 kinase dynamics. His work has been instrumental in defining protein-protein interfaces for therapeutic intervention.
