Vicky Palmer

Dr Vicky Palmer is a Senior Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University's School of Social Sciences, Department of Social Work, Care and Community. She teaches core modules on the BA (Hons) Youth Justice course including 'Evolution of the Youth Justice System', 'Effective Practice in Youth Justice', 'Dissertation', and 'Law, Sentencing and the Role of the Courts', while also delivering 'Youth Justice' to MA Social Work students.

Her research examines intersections between neurodiversity/mental health and youth offending, comparative youth justice systems (particularly Eastern European), archival histories of mental health, and violence reduction strategies. She maintains active practice expertise through her registered social worker status.
