Veronica Sundstedt

Dr. Veronica Sundstedt is a researcher at the Department of Computer Science, Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), Sweden. She actively contributes to the HINTS (Human-Centered Intelligent Realities) research group, focusing on virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and data mining applications. In 2025, she will co-chair ICAT-EGVE 2025, a major international conference in artificial reality and virtual environments.

Her research spans interdisciplinary applications of computer science, including VR/AR in healthcare education, digital cultural heritage, and industrial predictive maintenance. Recent publications highlight her work in multi-layered clustering for district heating networks and domain adaptation techniques for evolving systems. She collaborates with international partners like Virotea and IIT-Delhi.

HINTS researchers led by Sundstedt have secured a Vinnova-funded spin-off project (HINTS-US) to develop XR collaborations with the United States. Her team also engages in outreach, demonstrating immersive technologies to school pupils and professional networks like the Human Factors Network in Sweden (HFN).
