Vern Glaser

Vern Glaser is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise at the University of Alberta's Alberta School of Business, Department of Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Management. With a PhD from the University of Southern California, his research explores how organizations strategically adapt practices and culture through algorithms, arguments, and analogies.

His current work investigates AI's impact on organizational routines, decision-making processes, and competitive advantage dynamics. Recent publications examine algorithmic management metaphors, predictive model governance, and ethical implications of algorithm-driven organizations.

Dr. Glaser teaches courses including Strategic Decision-Making with Data Analytics and Business Applications of AI across undergraduate, MBA, and executive programs. His industry background includes founding Red Hill Advisors and management roles in operations and finance.
