Verena Gottschling

Verena Gottschling is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at York University, Canada, affiliated with the Cognitive Science Program. She holds a PhD from the University of Mainz and has held academic positions across Europe, including visiting roles at Washington University in St. Louis, King's College London, and the École Polytechnique/CNRS in Paris.

Her research focuses on interdisciplinary philosophy of mind and cognitive science, with emphases on evolutionary psychology, massive modularity, emotions in cognition, nonlinguistic thought, and the impact of digitalization on cognitive processes.
