Prof. Dr. Vera Beyer is a Professor of Art History and Historical Image Studies (Early Modern Period – Present) at the University of Regensburg since 2019. She holds a position in the Faculty of Philosophy, Arts, History and Social Sciences within the Institute of Art History. Her research focuses on transcultural art history, comparative studies of Persian and European art, frames/ornaments, and Islamic art. She has held significant roles such as leading the DFG Emmy Noether Junior Research Group (2008–2015) and the Einstein Junior Fellowship (2012–2015). Her awards include the 2009 Berlin Science Prize for Young Researchers.
