Veljko Jovanovic

Veljko Jovanović is a Professor at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. Born in 1984 in Karlovac, Croatia, he earned his PhD in 2012 with a dissertation on affect and attention processes in depression. He has held academic roles since 2007, including Assistant Professor (2009-2013) and Associate Professor (2013-2018).

His research focuses on well-being, resilience, and cross-cultural psychology, with notable work on life satisfaction scales and mental health metrics. Recent publications analyze measurement invariance of well-being tools across cultures and populations. Awards include the 2018 Serbian Psychological Society prize for a significant book contribution and the 2011 Best Young Researcher award at his faculty.
