Vedat G. Diker is the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Information Studies (iSchool) at the University of Maryland, College Park. He holds the rank of Principal Lecturer and serves as the Program Director for the M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction (HCIM). He earned his PhD from SUNY Albany and has a distinguished career in academia and research.
His research focuses on modeling socio-economic systems, social impacts of information technologies, data science, and human-computer interaction. He leads the Campus Computation Center: Support, Enrichment & Computing Identity Development to Boost STEM Success project, aimed at enhancing STEM education through computational tools.
