Vanessa Kent, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Director in the Counseling Department at Regent University's School of Psychology & Counseling. With over 25 years of clinical experience, she specializes in couples and family therapy, supervision, and spiritually integrated counseling. Her work focuses on adoption, relational distress, developmental trauma, and women’s issues. She holds dual licensure as a clinical mental health counselor and marriage and family therapist supervisor in multiple states.
Education: Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision (Regent University), M.A. in Clinical Counseling (University of West Florida), B.A. in Special Education (University of West Florida).
Her research emphasizes spiritually integrated therapies and mentorship of doctoral student mothers.
