Valerio Dao

Valerio Dao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Stony Brook University. His research focuses on experimental particle physics with specialization in Higgs boson studies using ATLAS experiment data from the Large Hadron Collider. He develops advanced machine learning techniques for particle reconstruction and detector development.

Research interests include precision measurements of Higgs boson decay channels (particularly H→bb), silicon pixel detector development for ATLAS upgrades, and exploring beyond-Standard-Model physics through rare decay processes.
