About
Valerie Krupp is a Professor of Music Education at the Mainz University of Music since 2017 and has served as its Rector since April 2023. She holds a visiting professorship at NORD University (2024-2026) for the EU Horizon project Dialoguing Arts. Her work focuses on cultural education, participation equity, teaching quality, and social justice in music education contexts.

She co-edits the journal Beiträge Empirischer Musikpädagogik and serves on boards of the Mainz School Music Network and Center for School, Educational, and Higher Education Research.
