Valeria Rappini

Valeria Rappini serves as Associate Professor of Practice in the Government, Health and Not for Profit Division at SDA Bocconi School of Management. She concurrently holds leadership roles as Coordinator of the Observatory on Private Health Consumption (OCPS) and Director of the Healthcare Marketing and Service Management Program, teaching in the Master in Healthcare Management (MiMS) and Executive Master in Management of Health and Social Care Organizations (EMMAS).

Her academic foundation includes a Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Bologna and a Painting degree from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera. This dual background informs her interdisciplinary approach to healthcare systems analysis.

Professor Rappini's research centers on private healthcare consumption patterns, health services marketing, and organizational design in public health. She investigates budgeting systems, service delivery models, and value-based management frameworks with emphasis on Italian healthcare transformation. Her work bridges theoretical policy analysis with practical implementation challenges in health service organizations.

Recent publications in the OASI Report series (2022-2024) reveal consistent focus on emergency department access logistics, mental health service reorganization, and private consumption dynamics. These studies employ mixed-method approaches to analyze systemic inefficiencies and propose evidence-based solutions for healthcare managers.

She maintains active professional engagement through membership in Italian and international healthcare evaluation units, and previously served as visiting professor at Argentine institutions including Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) and Universidad Católica de Córdoba (UCC). Her educational leadership spans program coordination for EMMAS (2006-2008) and Social Services Management (2013-2014).
