Valer Popa

Valer Popa is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Arts at the University of Chicago. His work focuses on unearthing overlooked narratives from Romanian and Eastern European history through fiction and nonfiction, emphasizing historical trauma and cultural memory. He teaches both fiction and nonfiction workshop courses.
