Dr. Valentin Bolborici is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Citadel's School of Engineering. He holds a B.S. from the University of Craiova (1992), M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto (1999, 2009). His research focuses on power electronics, piezoelectric actuators, and hybrid energy storage systems. Prior to academia, he worked in space robotics (MacDonald Dettwiler), electric drives (Hitachi Japan), and aerospace research (University of Toronto postdoc with Honeywell).
