Valérie HALTE-FILIPPI is a Professor at the University of Strasbourg, affiliated with the Institut de Physique et Chimie des Matériaux de Strasbourg (IPCMS) and the Ultrafast Optics and Nanophotonics (DON) group. Her research focuses on ultrafast magnetization dynamics, femtomagnetism, and plasmonics in metallic nanostructures. She earned her PhD in Condensed Matter Physics in 1998 and her HDR in 2010, both at IPCMS, Strasbourg. She joined the University of Strasbourg as an assistant professor in 1999 and became a full professor in 2017.
Her experimental techniques include ultrafast magneto-optical Kerr and Faraday effects, time-resolved confocal microscopy, and visible-NIR spectroscopy. Her recent publications highlight studies on spin dynamics, plasmonic responses, and quasi-particle behavior in nanomaterials, spanning journals like Nature, Nature Communications, and Optics Express. She is based in Strasbourg, France, with contact details listed at IPCMS.
