VJ Choolun is a Senior Lecturer and Acting Year 3 Leader for the BA (Hons) Illustration and Visual Media program at the London College of Communication, part of the University of the Arts London. Since joining LCC in 2001, he has taught across diverse courses including BA Advertising, Contemporary Media Cultures, Media Communications, Photography, and Graduate Diploma Photography.
- Education: Joint Honours in Fine Art and Graphic Design from Camberwell College of Arts; advanced studies at the Royal College of Art.
His teaching philosophy integrates a multidisciplinary approach to visual communications with analytical psychology and Neural Linguistic Programming. VJ’s creative practice spans digital and analogue solutions in advertising, web design, product design, and fine art, driven by a passion for science and emerging technologies like robotics, nanotechnology, and AI. He co-founded AVMC Studios, a creative agency serving clients such as BBC, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Vodafone.
