Vítor Bento is a Full Professor at the Catholic University of Portugal (FCH) and the University of Lisbon (ISCSP). He holds a PhD in Strategic Studies (ISCSP), a Master in Philosophy of Action (UCP-FCH), and a Degree in Economics (ISEG). He currently serves as President & CEO of the Portuguese Banking Association (APB), Member of the Board of Trustees of the Catholic University, and Member of the Board of PWN Lisbon. Previously, he led the Portuguese Treasury, founded and chaired the Debt Management Agency (IGCP), directed the Bank of Portugal, and served on the European Monetary Committee and Macau Monetary Authority. He has authored books on economics, European affairs, and strategy, and is a frequent commentator on economic and financial issues.
