Ute Hörner and Mathias Antlfinger

Ute Hörner and Mathias Antlfinger are Professor duo specializing in Multispecies Storytelling at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM). They work within the Faculty of Art, specifically in the Department of Art and Media Studies, where they explore the intersections between human and non-human narratives through artistic practice.

Their research focuses on multispecies relationships and collaborative storytelling approaches, examining how different species co-create meaning and space. Their work often involves unconventional collaborations with animals, as demonstrated in their 2021 piece 'Dollhouse for Dinosaurs' where they allowed parrots to interact with a model of their living space, documenting how animal presence transforms human environments.
