
About
Dr. Usha Sundralingam is a Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia, since January 2020. Previously, she served as a Chemistry lecturer at SEGi University Malaysia (2016–2020) and held research roles at University College London (UCL) and Monash University Malaysia. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Pure Chemistry from Universiti Sains Malaysia (2007), an MSc in Drug Delivery from UCL (2009), and a PhD in Pharmaceutics from Monash University Malaysia (2017).
Her research focuses on transdermal drug delivery systems, nanocarriers, and natural products like Geraniin and ratite oils. Key interests include skin permeation studies, topical formulations, and cancer treatment via lipid-based systems. Notable projects include developing nanocomposite hydrogel dressings and investigating anti-aging mechanisms of Geraniin. She has supervised four undergraduate students in collaboration with Monash University.
Dr. Sundralingam has contributed to over 15 peer-reviewed publications and actively collaborates on projects addressing diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and cancer. In 2024, she received the PVC Commendation Award for teaching excellence. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in advancing education and health.
