Prof. Dr. Ursula Quitterer is a Full Professor of Molecular Pharmacology at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, ETH Zurich, and Deputy Head of the Institute since February 2006. She is actively engaged in cardiovascular research and pharmacology education.

Her research focuses on the pathomechanisms of cardiovascular disease and atherosclerosis, investigating the interplay between cardiovascular risk factors, signal transduction dysfunction, and end-organ damage. The goal is to identify pharmacological targets and develop therapeutic strategies to prevent disease progression.
She received the Bayerische Habilitationsförderpreis in 1999 and has extensive experience in directing pharmacology and toxicology teaching programs. Her courses include Pharmacology and Toxicology I+II and Drug Discovery and Development seminars.
