Ursula Myers

Dr. Ursula Myers is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), affiliated with the College of Medicine. She holds a Ph.D. from the UC San Diego/San Diego State University Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology, with clinical internship at the Charleston Consortium (Ralph H. Johnson VAMC/MUSC) and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Ralph H. Johnson VAMC. She also serves as a psychologist and supervisor on the PTSD clinical team at the VAMC.

Her research focuses on treatment effectiveness for veterans with PTSD and comorbidities, dissemination/implementation of telemental healthcare, and cost-effectiveness of evidence-based treatments. She leads projects such as the VISN 7 Research Development Award examining telehealth utilization and satisfaction for veterans.

Recent articles highlight trends in telehealth policy during/after the pandemic, pharmacotherapy for comorbid ADHD/PTSD, and veteran mental health innovations. Her work bridges clinical practice and research, emphasizing scalable solutions for underserved populations.
