Dr. Umut ELDEM is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Doğuş Üniversitesi's Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from Boğaziçi Üniversitesi (2018) and has served as a faculty member at İstanbul Esenyurt Üniversitesi and currently at Doğuş Üniversitesi since 2020. His research focuses on the history of philosophy, particularly Kantian ethics and moral psychology, with additional interests in philosophy of technology and cultural anthropology.

His work bridges classical philosophy with contemporary issues like technology ethics and media studies. He serves as President of the Academic Board of Türkiye Kant Topluluğu.
Teaching: He instructs courses on philosophy fundamentals, ethics, social psychology, cultural anthropology, and philosophy of science in both Turkish and English.
Academic Contributions: His publications analyze Kant's moral psychology, critique Wolff's interpretations, and apply philosophical frameworks to modern media like Rick and Morty. He engages with thinkers such as Kierkegaard on faith and rationality.
