Umit Yilmaz

Umit Yilmaz is an Athletic Association Professor and Graduate Coordinator of the Master of Urban Planning and Design Program at the University of Georgia's College of Environment and Design. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in landscape architecture and planning studios, emphasizing environmental analysis, design communication, and technological innovation.

His scholarly work explores changes in physical environments, urban form preservation, and innovative teaching methodologies. With professional experience in Turkey and the US, Yilmaz integrates practical insights into academic contexts. He holds a PhD in City Planning from Istanbul Technical University.
