Dr. Ullrich Axel is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as Scientific Advisor and Program Director of the Singapore Oncogenome (SOG) Project at the Institute of Medical Biology (IMB), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*Star) in Singapore. Concurrently, he has been the Director of the Department of Molecular Biology at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried, Germany, since 1988, and held the position of Managing Director at the same institute from 1999 to 2007.
