Ulla Forseth is Professor of Sociology at the Department of Sociology and Political Science, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Her research examines the transformation of work organizations, emotional labor, risk regulation, and gender dynamics within Nordic welfare models. She specializes in organizational power structures and safety governance in high-risk industries.
Forseth's current projects investigate regulatory dialogues in Norway's oil and gas sector, emotional labor transformations in service industries, and gender dimensions of work-life balance. Her methodological expertise includes narrative analysis, memory work, and ethnographic approaches to organizational studies.
She has authored over 50 publications including the monograph 'Paradoxes of Power' (2021) examining regulatory strategies in offshore industries.
