Ulisses Terto Neto

Ulisses Terto Neto is a Professor of Law at the State University of Goiás (UEG), Brazil. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Aberdeen, a Post-Doctorate from Federal University of Goiás, and additional degrees in Public Policies and Law. His research focuses on the protection of human rights defenders in Latin America, comparative public policy analysis, and the intersection of law with sociological approaches to human rights. He is affiliated with the Centre for Studies on Environmental Law of Tarragona (Spain), the University of Aberdeen's CISRUL, and the University of Brasília's DISCO research group. His work emphasizes legal frameworks, access to justice, and effective human rights protection mechanisms. Key publications include analyses of Brazilian democracy under Bolsonaro, international human rights monitoring, and legal aid policies. He has contributed to interdisciplinary studies on economic, social, and cultural rights in Brazil.
