Dr Tyson Mitman is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology and Criminology and the Course Lead for Postgraduate Studies at York St John University’s School of Humanities. His research focuses on graffiti culture, craft beer production, memes, and subcultural identity. He explores how spaces—both physical and digital—are contested, represented, and politicized.
