Tyler Strom

Tyler Strom is an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University, teaching in the Master of Science in Energy and Sustainability (MSES) program. He concurrently serves as the Managing Director of the Illinois Agri-Food Alliance (ILAFA), where he drives cross-sector collaboration to address economic, environmental, and societal challenges in Illinois' agri-food ecosystem since 2014.

Education:

• BSc in Agricultural Business and Economics, Iowa State University
• MSc in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science, Lund University, Sweden

Research Interests: Strom focuses on sustainable agri-food systems, environmental resilience, and multi-stakeholder collaboration frameworks. His work integrates systems thinking to address sustainability challenges across local, state, and national initiatives.

Leadership and Committees: Strom actively contributes to the Delta Institute (Board Member), Midwest Climate Collaborative (Steering Committee), NASA-funded C-FrAMES project, and advisory roles for Illinois state equity/food insecurity initiatives. He operates a fourth-generation specialty crop farm and apiary in Kane County, IL.
