Tyler J. Fleming

Tyler J. Fleming, D.O., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral/Psychosocial Medicine at the University of Rochester. He practices at the University Mental Health Practice in Pittsford, NY, and is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology.

Dr. Fleming's research bridges psychiatry, public health, and environmental health. His recent work explores herbal medicine use in Cambodia, mental health outcomes in chronic disease patients, and tobacco smoke exposure. Earlier publications include a 2012 study on third-hand smoke's PAH exposure risks.

Scientific awards include the 2024 Raymond Babineau, M.D. Award, 2023 Otto Thaler M.D. Memorial Award, and recognition from the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society. He is also a Gold Humanism Honors Society inductee (2018) and former Albert Schweitzer Fellowship recipient (2015-2016).
