About
Tuuli Rissanen is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences and the Organismal and Evolutionary Biology Research Programme. Her research spans Geosciences, Ecology, Biogeography, and Environmental Science, focusing on biodiversity-stability relationships, microclimate modeling, and high-latitude vegetation patterns.
- Recent Research: Cross-taxa biodiversity analysis, boreal forest microclimate variability, and tundra plant trait-environment interactions
- Projects: Biodiversity change metrics (Jane ja Aatos Erkon säätiö, 2023-2027), Biodiversity monitoring (Ministry funding, 2022-2024)
Publications reveal expertise in boreal-tundra climate dynamics, plant diversity drivers, and remote sensing applications. She has contributed to Ecology Letters, Global Ecology and Biogeography, and Agricultural and Forest Meteorology.
Teaching Activities include field courses in geography and physical geography modeling. Her Contact Information is available through tuuli.rissanen@helsinki.fi.
