Tudor Manole

Tudor Manole is a Norbert Wiener Postdoctoral Associate in the Statistics and Data Science Center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), working in Building E17, office E17-481. He recently completed his PhD in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at Carnegie Mellon University under the supervision of Sivaraman Balakrishnan and Larry Wasserman, following a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from McGill University mentored by Abbas Khalili.

His research spans nonparametric statistics and statistical machine learning, with particular expertise in statistical optimal transport, latent variable models, nonparametric hypothesis testing, and distribution-free inference. Much of his recent work bridges statistics with physical sciences, especially quantum computing and high energy physics, demonstrating strong interdisciplinary collaboration capabilities.
