Troy C. Blanchard

Troy C. Blanchard is Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and Professor of Sociology at Louisiana State University. He earned his PhD from Louisiana State University and previously served as an Assistant Professor at Mississippi State University (2001-2007).

Dr. Blanchard's research examines the relationship between socioeconomic conditions and demographic outcomes within U.S. communities. His applied sociological approach generates insights for both academic and policy audiences, particularly regarding community development and social structures.

His administrative leadership as Dean focuses on advancing the college's academic mission while his scholarly contributions continue to inform understandings of demographic patterns and social change.
