Trisha Stubblefield

Dr. Trisha Stubblefield is a Professor of English and Harmon Professor of English at Cottey College, serving as Coordinator of the English Department. She holds a B.A. in English and B.M. in Music History from Converse College, and M.A. and Ph.D. (2001) from the University of South Carolina. Her academic focus includes twentieth-century American literature, with a dissertation on 1980s 'Brat Pack' novelists like Tama Janowitz and Bret Easton Ellis. She teaches courses on women writers, American/English literature, Ecofeminism, and uniquely integrates Taylor Swift's cultural impact into pedagogy.

Dr. Stubblefield leads Cottey College’s Sigma Tau Delta English honor society chapter. Recognized for teaching excellence through multiple awards, her work bridges literary analysis with contemporary cultural studies. She actively coordinates departmental operations and mentors students in literary scholarship.
