Triona Bartholin is a TU RISE Postdoctoral Fellow at South East Technological University (SETU) and a part-time lecturer at University College Dublin (UCD), Dublin City University (DCU), and SETU campuses. She holds a PhD in Human Resource and Analyst Practitioners Experience of People Analytics from SETU (2024), alongside degrees in Business, Lean Practice, and Employment Law. Her research focuses on HR practices, people analytics, and organizational dynamics, with a particular emphasis on contextualizing HR strategies within industry-specific frameworks.
Triona has been recognized with the Best Student Paper Award from the Academy of Management Human Resources Division (2019) and the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship (2019). She actively contributes to academic communities through conference presentations, including at the Dutch HRM Network and Irish Academy of Management. Her teaching spans postgraduate and undergraduate levels, with a focus on facilitating learning delivery and mentoring Master’s students in thesis completion.
Her research interests align with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), emphasizing education’s role in fostering equitable organizational practices. Key collaborations include work with Dr. Aidan Duane on HR analytics in manufacturing sectors and engagement with institutions like Lean Business Ireland. Triona’s work bridges theory and practice, addressing challenges in data-driven HR decision-making and employee experience.
