Trevor Babb is an Adjunct Artist Instructor in the Music Department at Vassar College, teaching classical and electric guitar since 2018. He holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music (BM), Yale School of Music (MM, DMA), and studied at the Haute École de Musique de Genève under a Fulbright Scholarship.
His research focuses on contemporary music performance practices, improvisation integration, and alternative temporal organization in composition. Babb actively commissions and premieres works by emerging composers, while his own compositions explore electric guitar ensembles and unconventional instrumentation. He performs internationally with groups like Contemporaneous, Aeon Ensemble, and the Bang on a Can All-Stars.
Babb's discography includes Warmth (Innova Recordings) and From a Dream (Frameworks Records), featuring original works and premieres by global composers. He also teaches at the Connecticut Suzuki Guitar Academy.
