Trenton Olsen

Trenton Olsen serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art History within the College of Arts and Humanities at Lindenwood University. His current teaching responsibilities for the 2025-2026 academic year include multiple course formats (Hyflex, Online, and On Ground) across Eighteenth-Century Art, Nineteenth-Century Art, Global Art History I: Rise of Cities and Empires, and a graduate seminar on European Primitivism Colonialism.

Research interests focus on European Art History with specialized expertise in 18th-19th century movements, global art historical narratives, and critical examinations of colonialism and primitivism in artistic expression. His work emphasizes contextual analysis of art within historical power structures and cross-cultural exchanges.
