Travis T. Threats

Travis T. Threats is a Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences at the Doisy College of Health Sciences, Saint Louis University. He holds a Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University, an M.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a B.S. from Kansas State University.

His research focuses on the World Health Organization’s International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), evidence-based practice in rehabilitation, ethical considerations in healthcare, and the intersection of religiosity/spirituality with patient care. He specializes in acquired neurogenic communication disorders such as aphasia, traumatic brain injury, and dementia.
