Travis Loux

Travis Loux is an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the College for Public Health and Social Justice, Saint Louis University. His work bridges biostatistical methodology and public health applications, with a strong commitment to advancing statistical education.

His educational background includes a Ph.D. and M.S. in Statistics from the University of California-Davis and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Washington.

Travis Loux's research focuses on causal inference, developing statistical tools to address confounding, selection bias, and non-response in observational studies. He also investigates heterogeneity in treatment effects and works on model-based adjustments for non-representative samples. His interest in statistics education and literacy extends to both future statisticians and the broader public, reflected in his development of teaching resources and software tools.
