Travis Janssen is an Associate Professor and Assistant Director in the Department of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University (SIU), where he has taught since 2008. He holds an MFA in Printmaking from Arizona State University (2007) and a BFA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (2000). His creative practice bridges historical and contemporary printmaking techniques, extending into video, installation, and collaborative projects with artists across disciplines. Janssen has exhibited work in over 100 group exhibitions globally, including venues in the U.S., Finland, Iran, Japan, and beyond. He serves as Faculty Advisor to PrintForce 5000, a student organization at SIU.
