Travis Fields is an Associate Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), affiliated with the School of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering. Since joining UMKC in 2013, he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in robotics and experimentation. As director of three laboratories—the Parachute and Aerial Vehicle Systems (PAVS), the Instruments and Measurements Lab (IML), and the Drone Research and Teaching (DRAT) laboratory—his research focuses on advancing unmanned aircraft and parachute systems through design, simulation, and experimental validation.
